Education for Health is an educational charity. Its mission is to improve the lives of people living with long-term conditions. The way to achieve this aim is through a well-informed and well-educated workforce and therefore the charity is a specialist provider of education and training courses in long-term conditions. It provides clinically-led education and training delivered through a combination of eLearning, interactive study days, workshops and bespoke projects.
Over a five-day visit, participants on the CfCC programme can gain insights into the work of Education for Health. Individual interests of participants can be considered. On the first day, they will spend time at the Education for Health headquarters, speaking to clinical leads and senior managers to understand the NHS background. The second day will be spent shadowing a long-term condition in a primary or community care setting. On the third day, CfCC participants will have the opportunity to attend an Education for Health training day or workshop as an observer. The fourth day will be spent shadowing in a clinic. On the last day there will be a debriefing at Education for Health, discussing experiences and drawing conclusions.
