Vårdcentral Skäggetorp is a medical centre in the Östergötland region of Sweden. It is responsible for the primary health care of around 9,200 listed patients, many of whom have migrant backgrounds. The Vårdcentral carries out children’s check-ups, and its doctors make house calls and look after residents of retirement homes.
During their work shadowing, CfCC programme participants can accompany a German-speaking doctor at the medical centre, thus gaining an insight into the day-to-day work of such a facility in Sweden.
Various occupational categories are represented at the centre: general practitioners, nurses/carers and others. Work shadowers can plan their stay in consultation with the medical centre and adjust the focus to their own interests.
The number of work shadowing places is limited. For more information on this offer, please contact the CfCC team here.
